This isn’t an all-inclusive cocktail book – this focuses entirely on a specific cocktail. The Negroni. The detail on its origins, historical cocktail information (very cool) and specific ingredients to use in making variations of this drink is interesting to read. The photos are colorful and pop with detail.
I like Hendricks gin quite a bit and that was one reason I wanted to review this book. Being a boring ol’ gin-n-tonic drinker I thought I would enjoy a twist of flavor combinations. Most of the ingredients listed may be found in any liquor store but there are some hard to find ingredients. One type of bitters has an orange and cinnamon flavoring but I couldn’t find that locally. Sounds good though.
This is a well laid out book and would make a great addition to anyone’s bar, especially for people who collect cocktail books. Hardcover, quality paper and lovely photos are the bonus with this Negroni recipe book.
