Good Omens and The Battle of Waterloo (British Isles Friday)

Recently we had two good DVD checkouts from the library.  Good Omens stars David Tennant and Micheal Sheen.  It’s a bit quirky but when i saw Neil Gaiman wrote it that explained quite a bit. The story revolves ariund a long time friendship between a demon (Tennant) and an angel (Sheen) who combine forces to prevent Armageddon.

Witty dialogue and a fun show.  Apparently there will be a season 2 of this show.  The angel was also the bartender in the movie Passengers where I think he stole the show.

The History channel had a great show about Waterloo and Sean Bean was the presenter. I have to say it was very well done and quite interesting.  The program called upon military experts, historians and used genuine  weaponry from the time period to let the viewer experience the rigors of the Napoleonic battle. If you like history or Sean Bean I think you would enjoy this program.

  1. I enjoyed Good Omens. I’m glad to see it’s out on DVD.

I’ll have to try Waterloo. We like historical documentaries but don’t have access to the History Channel.
